Scope

This standard applies to optical parts made of glass, crystals, glass ceramics, polymer materials, optical ceramics, metals and fiber-optic products and establishes surface cleanliness classes and control methods for parts with surface roughness Rz not exceeding 0.1 microns after mechanical, ionic and other types of processing and coating deposition.
